EastEnders has revealed a surprising new connection between Ravi Gulati and Jack Branning, as the dramatic drugs story enters a new phase.

Last week, Harry named Ravi as the ringleader in the criminal operation that he was trapped in, and Ravi was later arrested to the horror of oblivious Priya.

It is confirmed that Ravi accepted this role, as in today’s episode he returned to the Square, having been released from custody, and immediately came face to face with Jack.

Jack explained to Ravi that he had been tasked with being his police handler, seeing as they lived in the same community, even though he wasn’t thrilled about working with his long-time rival.

Ravi returned home and convinced his family that his arrest was just a mix-up, explaining that he was falsely accused after Harry got into trouble.

Priya headed to confront Harry for implicating Ravi, but Nicola hit back and confirmed that Ravi was completely responsible for Harry and Kojo’s ordeal.

Desperate for answers, Priya called round to see George – but Kojo blamed himself by explaining that Ravi put people in his flat because he flushed away some drugs.

This was the confirmation Priya needed that her partner was still embroiled in crime. She spoke to Ravi back at home and he was forced to admit his involvement in the operation.

Ravi tried to explain that he didn’t intend to take things so far, and that he only wanted to clear his debts and give Avani a lavish birthday party.

But this wasn’t good enough for Priya, who was devastated that he had lied to her and exploited vulnerable Kojo, and ended their relationship for good.

Meanwhile, Kojo was keen to return to his flat in the wake of the hostage drama, and he secretly snuck out of the house while George and Junior were busy talking.

Kojo let himself into his home but was soon joined by on-the-run Okie, who wanted to speak to him.
