Days of our Lives The Rinse October 23: Is Holly Lying… or Just Clueless? Holly’s holding nothing back 😳📚—between probation and past secrets, she’s making it clear Tate is persona non grata… at least for now. Fans are left wondering if her “studying” excuse hides more than homework, and whether Tate can handle the truth about her wild side. 🔥💥

On the October 23 episode of Days of our Lives, Holly blew off Tate when he wanted to fool around by telling him she had a lot of studying to do… and, oh, yeah, how dare he not ask her about the disciplinary hearing Holly and Ari just endured off-screen? She is devastated. Devastated! Does Tate not understand that this is the first time Holly has been in trouble? Ever? We can see Tate’s confusion about that. Since we’re pretty sure we remember it differently….

Key Takeaways

  • Holly told Ari she never so much as got detention in high school.
  • Holly overdosed, and Tate got blamed.
  • Is Holly again blaming Tate for her own actions?

Innocent Blood

Holly (Ashley Puzemis) is crushed that she and Ari (Marissa Reyes) have been blamed for the fire, which started in their dorm room. Now they’re both on probation, and Holly can’t handle being treated like a criminal. As she proudly asserted to Ari, “I never so much as got detention in high school!”

Now, we don’t know about her K-12 detention history. But we are pretty sure we remember Holly overdosing on New Year’s Eve 2023. Maybe she didn’t get detention for it, but she did fall into a coma. Oh, and when she woke up, she didn’t confess to being the one who bought the drugs herself, and continued letting Tate (Leo Howard) take the blame, to the point where he was sent to Juvenile Hall. We’d call that getting into some pretty bad trouble!

Can’t Someone Else Do It?

Holly may believe her past is as pure as the driven snow, but we don’t. And neither should Tate. Could that be what Holly is afraid of? Could her shooing him off with claims of papers to write be because, deep down, she knows that Ari may buy Holly’s “I’ve never done anything wrong” act… but Tate never will. Because he’s been burned (ha!) by her before.

But since Holly managed to blame Tate for her overdose, we can also see her blaming Tate for the fire. If he hadn’t slept with Sophia (Rachel Boyd, who fans say deserves an Emmy nomination) when Tate and Holly were broken up, then Sophia wouldn’t have been after Holly. So the fire was Tate’s fault, not Holly’s. That’s why she’s mad at him. Yeah, that tracks. This is all Tate’s fault! That’s why she’s ignoring him. Not because he knows all about Holly’s dark — and lying — side.
