OMG SHOCKING!!!Emmerdale scraps another relationship for young characters in early ITVX episode

Emmerdale airs the end of Vinny Dingle and Gabby Thomas’s relationship tonight as the couple go their separate ways – just weeks after their wedding ceremony. It’s Gabby who takes the bull by the horns by finishing things with Vinny, leaving him devastated.

Gabby has struggled with a lack of trust in their relationship following the revelation that Vinny has been questioning his sexuality and tried to kiss his friend Kammy Hadiq. This week, Gabby was even caught looking through Vinny’s phone messages out of paranoia, as she wasn’t sure that he’d stay faithful to her.

Of course, Gabby has been no saint either, as she cheated on Vinny with a one-night stand while on holiday shortly before their wedding.

In Thursday’s episode, Gabby realises this complicated situation can’t go on – so she tells Vinny that they’re over and she’ll be leaving their family home with her young son Thomas.

“I think it’s best if we move back into Kim’s,” Gabby announces. “You can stay here if you want – Kim’s fine with that.

“This isn’t working. The trust, it’s gone. I’m just always thinking the worst.”

Although Vinny desperately begs Gabby to stick around, she sticks to her guns and moves back into Home Farm.

Relationships are getting a shake-up in Emmerdale at the moment, as the show also recently closed the door on Belle Dingle’s connection to Kammy after they’d spent the night together.

Fans may now be curious to see whether Vinny grows closer to village newcomer Lewis Barton, who previously offered to support him after his tough time. When we caught up with Bradley Riches – who plays Lewis – at the Inside Soap Awards recently, he spoke about the possibility of friendship turning into more.

“Who knows? Only time will tell. I think at the beginning it’s definitely a friendship,” Bradley told us.

“I mean, every good relationship is based on friendship and that’s a good starting point, definitely!”

He also said: “[It’s] having someone from the queer community helping him and saying ‘it’s not weird to think these things, everyone’s stories are different regarding their sexuality and they have different journeys’.

“It’s very exciting to see that conversation, and how a new friendship might blossom as well.

“It’s nice to see someone who’s not sure about themselves being welcomed by someone who is very sure of themselves.”
