Days of our Lives the Rinse October 24: What Do These Three Villains Have in Common?

Chad wasn’t happy to see Mark back in town. (EJ seemed intrigued, though.) Additionally, Alex was unhappy to see Jeremy. He accused him of being the one to out Stephanie as Anastasia Sands to Leo, but it was obvious he was also angry about what Jeremy had done to Stephanie in the past. On the surface, Mark and Jeremy would appear to have nothing in common. But they do. And then there’s Bobby/Everett, too… All three have something in common. And that’s what bugs us.

Key Takeaways

  • Mark plotted to kill Chad
  • Jeremy verbally and emotionally abused Stephanie
  • Bobby/Everett cheated on and tormented Jada and Stephanie

Three of a Kind

Jeremy Horton’s (Michael Roark) rap sheet includes: Almost drowning Stephanie (Abigail Klein) in a hot tub, car theft, shoplifting, setting up a phony charity and stealing from it, and Gaslighting.

Days of our Lives the Rinse October 22 Jeremy, Mark, and Bobby.

After Jeremy left Salem, Bobby/Everett (Blake Berris) arrived, the man who’d cheated on Jada (Elia Cantu) while they were married, played mind games with Stephanie, conspired with Connie (Julie Dove) to cover up who killed Li (Remington Hoffman), and was a psychopath, to boot.

Finally, there’s Mark (Jonah Robinson). Yes, he did it all to protect his beloved family. But “it” included colluding with his sister to pass her off as the late Abigail (Marci Miller), including faking Cat’s (AnnaLynne McCord) DNA test. (In Mark’s defense, is there ANYONE in Salem who hasn’t done that?) It also included planning to kill Chad (Billy Flynn) so Cabigail could inherit his money. He told Chad he never intended to go through with it, but do we have any evidence to support that claim?

EverBob may be dead, but both Mark and Jeremy were on today’s episode of DAYS. Which made us unable to help but notice that…

Tribes

… all three characters are, at best, sociopaths. And all three characters are Jewish. Stephanie talked about celebrating Hanukkah with Bobby. Jeremy’s mother, Robin, ultimately did not marry his father, Mike, due to religious differences. Since his mother was Jewish, Jeremy is Jewish.

And Mark’s sister, Felicity (Kennedy Garcia), has talked about her family’s heritage, including baking challah-bread (which translates as baking bread-bread), while Aaron agonized over what to get his siblings as Hanukkah gifts (though he managed to mispronounce it with a “ch” sound). Therefore, we can deduce that Mark is Jewish as well.

All We’ve Got

Sure, we can point out that there are plenty of villains on the Salem canvas who are, presumably, Christian. (Should we assure that Stefano [Joseph Mascolo] and all the DiMeras are Catholic? Kristen [Stacy Haiduk] was a nun for a hot minute.) But there are also plenty of heroes, too. We’ve got equal representation.

What does it say when the last three Jewish men featured were all criminals at various levels of violence? Not a good look, Salem….
