TWO Coronation Street characters could be about to quit Weatherfield for good.
In the latest episode of the ITV soap opera, two Cobbles residents came up with a plan to leave Weatherfield behind and head for Spain.

It has given a huge hint that they could walk away from the show if they are to go through with their plans.
Betsy Swain was persuaded by her mum, Becky, to go with her overseas to Alicante.
Viewers of the soap know that in recent weeks Betsy has been struggling with the sudden re-appearance of her mother after believing she was dead.
They have come to blows many times since their reunion but now Becky has aimed to get Betsy on her side by asking her to move with her to her beachside home in Alicante.

After a tense day, Becky proposed the idea of Betsy moving with her even just temporarily.
She gave her daughter some time to think over the offer before they had a late-night conversation with one another.
Betsy said to her mum: “I’ve been thinking about what you said.”
She said back: “There’s no pressure, you know that.

Becky added: “You do what you want to do.
“You are at the start of your life, make it what you wanna make it.
“If you wanna work, fine. If you wanna just lounge on a beach all day, then do that.”
Slightly apprehensive, Betsy replied: “I think… I wanna come with you.
“Yeah!”
Becky then added: “You’ve no idea how happy that makes me!”
The pair embraced before Betsy confessed she had yet to tell her mum Lisa about her plans.

It led Becky to quip: “We can work on her together, if we put our minds too it, we can steal her away with us too.”
