Xander and Sarah on Days of Our Lives were a couple that fans never saw coming. Over the years, they became fan favorites due to their rocky romance and can’t quit each other dynamic.

The Nice Girl and The Bad Boy

It all began in 2019 when Xander (Paul Telfer) attempted to shoot his shot with Sarah (Linsey Godfrey). Xander’s flirty ways were lost on Sarah until one drunken night.

After learning Rex (Kyle Lowder) cheated on her and getting rejected by Eric (Greg Vaughan), Sarah ended up having sex with Xander. Sarah immediately regretted her decision.

When Sarah got pregnant following a brief fling with Eric, it kicked off a chain of events, leading to Xarah. From Xander helping Sarah hide the baby’s paternity, to stealing Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) and Brady’s (Eric Martsolf) baby when Sarah’s baby died at birth, Xander had Sarah’s back.

In true soap fashion, the truth came out just as Xander and Sarah were set to wed. It took a while, but Xander eventually won Sarah’s heart again. Their second attempt to wed went bust thanks to Sarah discovering Kristen, who escaped from prison, was impersonating Susan (Stacy Haiduk).

Kristen, masquerading as Sarah, dumped Xander. Then she shipped the real Sarah off to DiMera Island, where Sarah lost her memory and believed she was the late Renee DuMonde (Philece Sampler).

After Sarah was rescued, Gwen (Emily O’Brien) played dirty to keep Sarah and Xander apart so she could marry him. It didn’t work. Xarah reunited again; this time, he promised to be on the straight and narrow for her.

That didn’t last because he’s Xander. A pregnant Sarah dumped him once she learned the part he played in kidnapping Susan and Bonnie (Judi Evans). Sarah left town to keep Xander from knowing she was pregnant.

Play It Again, Xarah

Thanks to Bonnie, Xander eventually learned Sarah was pregnant, but she tried to throw him off by claiming Rex was the baby daddy. Sarah even agreed to marry Rex to make things seem legit.

After baby Victoria was born, at Victor’s (John Aniston) funeral, Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) spilled the beans that Xander was the father. Sarah annulled her marriage to Rex, and a nasty custody battle for Victoria followed.

Victoria’s brief kidnapping courtesy of Konstantin (John Kapleos) and Theresa (Emily O’Brien) reunited Xarah. They even got married again and survived his drunk mother, Fiona (Serena Scott Thomas), running Sarah down, leaving her paralyzed.

Sarah learned to walk again, and Fiona was eventually sent to prison. Xarah was happy for a hot second. Philip’s (John-Paul Lavoisier) return to town with a forged letter giving him half of Titan changed everything.

This time, it was Sarah who blew up the relationship by keeping the truth about Philip from her husband. Xander went crazy when he found out that Sarah had known all along. They are currently separated, and their relationship is more tension-filled than ever.

Although the duo has managed to find common ground regarding Victoria’s custody, Sarah and Xander are nowhere near headed for reconciliation, but we hope it will happen.

Xarah is one of those DAYS couples who always seem to make their way back to each other, and we are here for it.
