NEW HEARTBREAKING! Coronation Street star weighs in on Lisa and Carla shock split fears
Coronation Street star Amy Cudden has addressed the possibility of her character Becky driving a wedge between Carla Connor and Lisa Swain.
Police officer Becky has returned into Lisa and daughter Betsy’s lives after she was forced to fake her own death.
Since then, she’s been set on reuniting with Lisa, who has moved on with new partner Carla.

In upcoming scenes, Carla is having second thoughts about her trip to Ireland as she’s worried to leave Lisa alone with Becky.
Weighing on whether it’s sensible to worry about Becky, Cudden confirmed that her character could be “a threat” but that Carla is hardly one to feel intimidated.

“If you combine the habit of Lisa loving Becky, because that’s a habit that’s still in her, with Becky being absolutely obsessed and driven to be with her family, it’s like a primal life drive for her, she has to be with them, yeah, it’s a threat, but if you look at the person that’s being threatened – we’re talking about Carla Connor! They don’t come tougher,” Cudden said.
“So, what that means is that we get this really, really fun tension between two very determined women fighting over the same love.
“So, yeah, I think she’s a threat, but that threat is coming at a woman who is extremely resilient and extremely tough.”
As for the trip, Carla opens up to Lisa about her insecurities. While the detective is initially offended that her fiancée doesn’t seem to trust her, she then attempts to reassure her and to convince her that her relationship with Becky is a thing of the past.

But troubles have only just begun for the Swains as Betsy gets arrested next week, with DI Costello issuing an ultimatum to Becky.
At the station, a police officer reveals that DI Costello is accusing Betsy of damaging a police car, resisting arrest and trying to attack him.
As DI Costello is threatening to make life worse for Betsy if Becky doesn’t leave Weatherfield behind for good, will she go away and give up on winning Lisa back?
