Alan Halsall celebrated his daughter’s twelfth birthday today. Alan is known for playing the role of Tyrone Dobbs in Coronation Street and has been a regular on our screens since taking on the role back in 1998.

The actor often shares special moments shared with daughter Sienna on social media. He has spoken about his close bond with his daughter on many occasions and has even found special ways of expressing the love, including when he participated in the last series of I’m a Celebrity, where he posed with a heart gesture each time the camera was on him and the show was broadcast live.

He shared an Instagram Story from the moment he became a dad, holding baby Sienna in his arms.

He captioned the post: “12 years ago today, this precious moment was captured and it feels like just yesterday.

“Time flies, but my love for you only grows deeper. Happy Birthday to my beautiful daughter Sienna! #BirthdayGirl.” His heartfelt message continued as he shared a second photo of them together now.

Alan added: “From the moment I first held you, I knew my life had changed forever. You’ll always be my little baby, but now I see you becoming such a beautiful, strong and king young lady.

“You’re growing up so fast and my heart is so proud of you. Happy 12th birthday my princess, love always. Daddy.” The message was accompanied by a red love heart emoji.

To celebrate her birthday, Sienna and a group of five other friends went on a shopping spree together. Alan shared a photo of the group together as his daughter wore a huge “12” badge and held a “1” and “2” inflatable balloon set.

It has been an emotional week for the 43-year-old as Sienna also started high-school earlier this week. After her first day in Year 7, Alan spoke about being a “proud” dad

Sharing a photo of his daughter posing in front of a mirror, he wrote: “It feels like just yesterday when I watched you take your first tiny steps.”

Alan shares daughter Sienna-Rae with his ex-wife and former co-star Lucy-Jo Hudson. Their marriage lasted almost a decade, tying the knot back in 2009 and parting ways in 2018.

Earlier this year, Alan went public with his new girlfriend Ellie Dolan, who works as a human resources co-ordinator. They both attended the wedding of Jack P Shepherd and partner Hanni in July.

On-screen, Alan’s character has been involved in some key storylines recently. The character has recently been embroiled in Kevin Webster’s cancer storyline as scenes this week showed the character reassuring Abi Webster her husband will make a recovery.
