Days of Our Lives Legends Reflect On 60 Years Of ‘Family’ Ahead of Anniversary Celebration

Deidre Hall, James Reynolds, and Eric Martsolf are opening up about their Days of Our Lives family as the Peacock soap hits a couple of major milestones. The three legends didn’t hold back in reflecting on six decades of life in Salem.

Forever family

The other day, Martsolf (Brady), Hall (Marlena), and Reynolds (Abe) stopped by the Today show to spill some DAYS tea. They were in New York City to celebrate DAYS’s induction into theBroadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame.

Hall has had quite a run on the Peacock soap, celebrating 50 years in 2026, which the Today hosts brought up. The actress admitted she never could have imagined that, but there’s a good reason why she sticks around Salem.

“It’s such a home and we love it,” Hall expressed. “I know we talk about family. It’s a family.”

That led into the upcoming 60th anniversary celebration, which will take place in November and will see even more DAYS family members back in the mix. As Soap Hub revealed, major stars are coming back to Salem for the gala to open the Tom Horton free clinic.

Hall reiterated that the show is really a family when discussing how DAYS has stayed the same over six decades.

“We stay true to what is current, and we stay true to family. We are a family-owned and family-run,” she explained.

Testing That DAYS Knowledge

Martsolf, Reynolds, and Hall were put to the DAYS test during their Today show appearance. All three stars knew their stuff.

Reynolds recalled the name of the island Abe was on with other Salemites when they were all presumed dead over 20 years ago. Martsolf revealed why Brady unleashed his fury on Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) when she was in jail this most recent time.

Finally, Hall answered how many times Marlena was possessed and the song playing when she levitated both times.

So much fun watching these three together and reflecting on all things DAYS.
