TWIST YOU WON’T BELIEVE EastEnders Steven Beale star now eight years after devastating death twist
EastEnders spoilers have confirmed a dramatic showdown between Max Branning and Cindy Beale as she believes he’s responsible for the death of her son Steven Beale

EastEnders has confirmed an epic face-off between Max Branning and Cindy Beale.
In a spoiler for the BBC soap, it’s revealed that Cindy (played by Michelle Collins) is taken aback when Jasmine Fisher (portrayed by Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness) discloses that Max (Jake Wood) is back in town during Thursday’s episode (2nd October), prompting her to head to The Vic to confront the man she blames for her son’s death.
Max is oblivious to the fact that Cindy holds him responsible for Steven Beale’s (Aaron Sidwell) demise, but it seems he’s about to discover the truth in a harsh way.
Rewinding to 2017, Steven died from injuries he sustained during a brawl with Max.
Steven found himself on the wrong side of Max after he cheated on his daughter Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) with his other daughter Abi Branning (Lorna Fitzgerald), reports the Daily Star.

This illicit affair resulted in Abi’s pregnancy and Steven’s subsequent web of lies about having a brain tumour to cover up his deceit.
Max uncovered Steven’s deception and his affair with Abi, and used this information to blackmail him into participating in his revenge scheme against the Beales, following his wrongful imprisonment for Lucy Beale’s (Hetti Bywater) murder.
Under Max’s orders, Steven set fire to the Beale’s restaurant, only to become trapped in the blaze himself.
During the fire, Max assaulted Steven, leaving him injured.
Steven was later rushed to hospital where he suffered a fatal cardiac arrest and passed away.

The fire wreaked havoc on Albert Square and Steven’s death sent shockwaves through the community.
His lies about the brain tumour were exposed at his funeral, and his affair with Abi was also brought to light.
In a recent chat, Jake Wood, who recently reprised his role as Max on EastEnders, referred to the push that led to Steven’s death as an “accident”, but admitted it caused a significant fallout between Max and the Beales.

Steven’s mum Cindy hasn’t yet encountered Max, but viewers can certainly anticipate some explosive scenes between the two in future episodes.
Since his character was written out eight years ago, actor Aaron Sidwell, who portrayed Steven from 2007 until 2017, has featured in BBC medical dramas Doctors and Casualty, and bagged the part of Luther Underwood in an episode of Father Brown.
He also made history as the first British actor to portray Johnny in Green Day’s musical American Idiot.
