đ± Meri Refuses to Let Christineâs Book Cross the Line
Sister Wives star Meri Brown is drawing her own boundaries when it comes to Christine Brownâs new book.
While Christine poured her truth into âSister Wife: A Memoir of Faith, Family, and Finding Freedom,â Meri recently admitted that she has no plans to read it.
Even though the two women lived under the same roof for decades as part of Kody Brownâs plural marriage, Meri explained that Christineâs stories donât align with hers.
On the September 14 episode of the I Do, Part 2 podcast, hosted by Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes, Meri explained that she wants to protect her peace.
She also acknowledged that Christineâs perspective in her book is entirely valid, but emphasized that her own version of events appears differently.
For Meri, reading Christineâs memoir could trigger frustration, especially if her memories donât match what is on the page.
Meri Talks About Her Current Equation With Her Ex-Sister Wives!
Meri Brown opened up about her current relationship with her former sister wives, and itâs not what fans might expect. Speaking on the I Do, Part 2 podcast, Meri admitted she no longer talks to Christine Brown. Their values donât align, and staying connected isnât emotionally safe for her. While she said she holds no hate, she chooses to keep her distance.
She further added theyâd be cordial if they crossed paths. As for Janelle and Robyn, Meri revealed she isnât close with them either, explaining that thereâs no lasting bond at the moment. Still, she remains open to healing and hard conversations, but emphasized her boundaries. For Meri, peace now means prioritizing herself over forced family ties.

Sister Wives: Meri Reveals Why She Disagrees With Christineâs Perspective In The Book!
Meri made it clear that she respects Christineâs right to tell her story. Talking about her book, she futher added. âI have not read it, and I probably wonât.â Meri explained that although their lives overlapped in the same household, she doesnât feel like she âlived it with her.â Their day-to-day experiences in polygamy were not identical. What Christine shares in her book, Meri believes, is Christineâs truth, but it is not necessarily her own.
She further elaborated that itâs all about perspective. Meri told listeners, âEven though they were in the same life, and many of the things that sheâs, Iâm sure talking about, our perspectives are completely different.â So, what Christine wrote in her book is her perspective. And itâs 100 percent valid to her, but not for her.
The reality star admitted she wants to avoid potential conflict that could come from comparing memories. She doesnât want to read it and potentially get upset at some of the things.
For Meri, reading passages that contradict her recollection would not be fair to either of them. She explained, emphasizing that truth can look different depending on whoâs telling it.
Ultimately, Meri underscored that validating Christineâs story doesnât mean she has to consume it. She wants to reinforce her own emotional well-being while also respecting Christineâs choice to share her journey.
Meri was Kody Brownâs first wife, marrying him in 1990. Janelle joined the family in 1993, Christine in 1994, and Robyn in 2010. Though Christine and Meri shared nearly 20 years as sister wives, their bond was often strained.
